Caliper Battery Separator (Improved)

I tried Arbitur's remix of the caliper battery separator and it broke off my negative battery terminal spring which I then had to take apart my caliper and re-solder the terminal back on. I appreciated his remix and wanted to improve upon it so I was determined to make this work since I use my calipers a lot and wanted to save the battery when I didn't. I also want to thank Derailed for the original design and have also added him as a source if you want to use his design.

This may or may not work for you since there are so many caliper versions. Also be really careful not break off the negative terminal like I did and have to take apart the caliper and re-solder it back on.


Here are the improvements I made:

- Removed the angle cut and made it round (because my caliper has the negative battery terminal soldered at an angle, his angle cut caused the negative terminal to toque and break off ).
