I was using my new camera (Fuji X-T3) for some video work.
I was using my old video microphone (Sennheiser MKE300).
The old foam cover had perished a while back and been replaced with a wind noise reducing 'Dead Cat' cover...
The combination of this wind shield and the use of a 18-135 zoom lens resulted in times when the hairs of the shield became visible on the video.
I had to lift up the microphone to keep it out of shot.
A simple solution to this was to make a simple hotshoe adapter that had a female hotshoe lifted up around 30mm above the camera's hotshoe fitting.
It works !
