Similar products sell online for around $25, I started by creating one that has a case around the tensioner which made it a bit easier to slip on and off, but it ended up being too big for some of the smaller focus rings on my lenses. Also, it's nice to be able to slip the hex nut out of the tensioner piece to quickly adjust to different sized lenses.
So this is intentionally bare bones, works great. Some focus/zoom rings don't have a lot of resistance, hence the need for the counter weight.
The GT2 belt is super cheap on Amazon and the bolt/nut is < $1 at Home Depot.
Non printed pieces:
- GT2 belt: Width: 6mm (about 15" of it per build)
- 1x Carriage bolt: 1/4" x 4" (Home Depot)
- 1x HEX Nut 1/4" (AAB) (Home Depot)
- 2x M2 5mm hex screw, or equiv tapered 5mm screw.
- 2x M2 washers (optional)
- 15 pennies or same size washers (for counter weight if needed)
- 1x M3 4mm hex screw
Instructions:
- Poke a small hole in the belt at each end, feed through bb_Base.stl
