**DISCLAIMER: I'm not responsible if your camera falls out**
I made these so I can easily switch between different tripods (the ones I have, all have different quickreleases). I made a bunch of versions and ended up with this. This version should lose grip before breaking, which is easier for testing whether my setup gets too heavy.
It needs a couple screws/bolts:
M2.5 x 12 goes into the ring/lock to strengthen it
M3 x 18 connects the ring/lock to the axle
M2 x 11 (10mm thread) goes into the screw which mounts the insert to the camera
My machine might not be as well tuned as yours, I oversized the holes in the screw because on my printer such small holes always end up smaller. All parts should fit together tightly. Aside from a screwdriver, you shouldn't need tools to put them together but you do need some force (I needed to sand the underside of the base a bit for the axle to fit). The ring/lock should end up parallel to the insert when locked, if it doesn't you'll need
