I made my own version of the Edelkrone Plus Slider. It turned our very nice: it is rigid, runs smooth, has a simple design and the machining of the parts takes just around 20 minutes. But: it is too heavy for the tripod! I'll make another version.
You can machine all the parts with a 3mm bit with 2 flutes.
The exact-part list:
4x 300mm linear rail MGN12 with carriages(CNC and 3D printer demand)
2x 300mm 20x20mm aluminum profile
4x M6x25mm screws
4x GT2 deflection rollers
72x M3x6mm screws
48x T-Nuts M3
1x GT2 Belt (1m is enough)
Total cost for the slider: around 55$
