For soft drink or beer cans that are 12.5 cm tall. Most are. Cocoa cola, sprite etc. Just put the round fitting with a rectangular extrusion in the top rectangular hole. Then put the pin in. If the can does not fit, then you may have installed the top bit upside-down.
