Why using Solid Surface?
While designing the product we tried to both be realistic and also think outside the box. We wanted to make a product that kept you from directly touching potentially contaminated surfaces, while also being easy, safe and durable to clean constantly, which we strongly recommend. This is where Solid Surface comes in to play.
What is Solid Surface?
Solid Surface is a material composed of acrylic polymer and alumina trihydrate (ATH). Corian®, which is the brand we use, is the original material of this type, created by DuPont scientists in 1967, used for different architectural and household purposes. It is well known for its durability and easy cleaning properties, and more specially the fact that it is a non porous material, so no dirt or pathogens should stick to it when cleaned properly and constantly.
