Capillary viscometer (Ubbelohde) fixture

I need a capillary viscometer (Ubbelohde, e.g. Type 501 03/0c, Si Analytical) fixture for my polymer chemistry course. There were only a few demands. 1) It should sit flush on the large conical flask (applied for temperature control of the viscometer), 2) the viscometer needs to be held in the same upright position for all measurements, finally 3) I needed to protect the three glass pips against breaking “by over bending” when handled during cleaning and setup. Thus, I made the contraption given here. It has been tested on 12 different viscometers and is in service in the lab on six viscometers - they all fit and work as intended.
