# Carabiner Jam Device
## Overview
This device is designed to **jam a carabiner closed**, preventing it from being opened while installed. Once in place, the only way to remove it is by using the included **release pin** to push the latch back.
It *may* be possible to push the latch from the top, but either way, it cannot be done with fingers alone—at least not with average adult hands.
With the release pin, however, removal is straightforward and can be done even in constrained situations (for example, if your hands are positioned behind your back).
---
## ⚠️ Please Note
This device is specifically designed to work with the **Metolius Bravo II Wiregate Carabiner**.
It is unlikely to function properly with other carabiners without significant modification.
---
## Additional Parts Required
### Option A (Heat Inserts)
- 2 × M3 × 25 mm machine screws
- 2 × M3 heat-set inserts
### Option B (Through Bolts)
- 2 × M3 × 30 mm machine screws
- 2 × M3 nuts
### Also Required
