Caravan Stabilizer Leg Gear Link Replacement

Disclaimer: I was asked to design a replacement part for this based on a provided broken part and have not tested this personally, but the part was confirmed working once installed. This is a heavy-duty replacement gearbox alignment link (thrust bridge) for caravan and camper van mechanical stabilizer legs. It is specifically designed to replace the internal plastic links found in similar European aluminum drop-down steady legs. The part is approximately 80mm in length and serves as a critical drivetrain component. When you crank your stabilizer leg to lift or ground your van, the intersecting bevel gears experience massive axial thrust forces pushing them apart. The original factory plastic links loop over the horizontal drive shaft to anchor it to the lower carriage, forcing the gears to stay perfectly meshed. Over time, the factory parts stretch, warp, or snap, causing the gears to skip, bind, or strip completely under load. Because manufacturers treat the internal gear block as a sealed unit, they do not sell this part individually—forcing you to buy a whole new stabilizer leg assembly. This 3D model allows you to repair the leg for pocket change. Because this link constantly fights high tension and mechanical separation forces, do not print this in standard PLA, as it will deform or snap under the weight of the van. Printed in PETG with higher wall count and denser gyroid infill. To keep part in accurate condition used PLA as support interface to reduce filament imperfetions.
