CarMotion Quick-n-Dirty Test Track

This was a quick demonstration track for the Viessmann CarMotion system. Components were designed in Fusion360 are intended for FDM printers. Connections between the track elements are made via bolted joints using heat-set threaded inserts. The center grove is designed for Viessmann 8430 magnetic tape (3x1mm). Viessmann 8429 magnetic tape (3x0.5mm) should be compatible but has not been tested.


Fasteners -- M3 - 0.5x10mm (DIN912)
Inserts -- RX-M3x5.7

Note -- the counter bored thru-holes in the track segments are deliberately undersized as a retention feature.
