CarPlay cup holder

I found it annoying plugging my phone in every time I got in the car, so I made this. The bottom could use a little work, as the attachment isn’t perfect. I would redesign it, but sadly I only have the one car and don’t need to reprint. Leave a comment if you’re interested in printing it, and I’ll consider redesigning the bottom.

Originally designed for a Kia Niro 2019 and the iPhone X/8 with a thin case, but I suspect it will fit many cars and phones, but could be easily modified also. Check the dimensions before printing. You’ll need a standard lightning cable, although a worn and frayed one is actually better and allows better movement. You’ll also need the spring from a ballpoint pen that wraps around the lightning cable and pushes it in to the phone, and some dental floss or wire to secure the cable, and hold it in when you pull off the phone.
