I have started my journey into ESP32 devices and sensors, using Home Assistant and ESPhome.
My first project was a temperature/humidity/pressure sensor, packaged into a case with a small display to put in on a shelf or cupboard.

* the BME280 sensor is self-heating, so you either put it into the compartment and compare the measurements with it outside and substract the difference (should be good enough for measuring room temperatures), use a different sensor that isn't self heating or place the sensor outside of the box (I have cut the slits and routed the cables to the outside as a
