Cat-mobile

The goal of this project was to be able to design and print a car to help us determine where energy goes and to fully understand the conservation of energy. The car had to be built using certain measurements so that the fan and wheels could fit on when we would later use it on the test track. The first part of this project was understanding how to use on-shape, a program we used to design a model for the cars. We took a one or two-day crash course and then started designing the next day. Once we had come up with a design and gotten it approved, we had the cars printed. While they were being printed, we came up with equations to use to find out what happens to energy. After the cars were printed, we measured the mass, distance traveled, the time it took to travel the distance, and the voltage/current while the motor was running and stalled. On finals day we used our calculations to find different velocities, voltages, distances, and other things. Then the next day we had a race to see w
