This catapult requires no fasteners, springs, or rubber bands. This catapult is 100% 3D printed. You may want to superglue the 2 support walls to the base, and the arm to the spring however when I printed them it all press fit together and didn't require adhesive.
Note the correct orientation of the springs in the real image. The assembly model shows them backwards. They should compress when pulling back the arm, they are more likely to snap if assembled backwards.
I believe when I printed the springs I gave it enough walls so that the spring was 100% walls but the long post had some infill.
I only had PLA when I printed this so after 6+ months the springs got too brittle and snapped. I would recommend experimenting with other materials.
I designed it to launch nerf balls around the office over cubicle walls. When using it you will need to hold down the base or weigh it down with something.
Assembly animation and usage video will be added soon.
