My grandson just turned four. I made this for him for his birthday. It is designed to help children learn to be both generous and wise when it comes to money. So there is a large section of "spending" money and two smaller ones for sharing/gifts/donations and for saving. At the very least, it gets children started thinking in terms of budget categories.
I have been making and selling these to neighborhood parents for Christmas gifts as well. They are easily customizeable if you wish to import the "Spend" top into your favorite design software and add a name to it. And, if you would like to change the wording on the top, I've also included blank versions.
Assembly is pretty basic. I used some super glue on the inside ridges and that dividing wall and snapped the tops down into place. The plugs screw into the bottom and become flush. They can be used with a coin or with the "key". Depending on the color I was printing, the key was a tight fit. My rotary took fixed that,
