Cause Bottle -Stainless Steel Bottle -Plastic Lid -Processes: Hydroforming and Injection Molding -Fits in a Cup Holder (3.5” wide by 2.25” Deep) -Single Wall Cup (Wall Thickness is 1.5mm) -Screw on Lid -1,436.68 Milliliters The Cause Bottle consists of two stainless steel pieces, which screw together to form the cup, and a plastic lid. The pieces unscrew so the user can buy different bottoms or tops to customize their water bottle. This way, it conforms with the user’s changing needs. These bottom pieces have injection molded threaded pieces in them to allow the user to attach and detach the pieces. The detachable parts also allow for an easier washing process by eliminating hard to reach cracks and crevices. The lid has a hole for liquid and an air hole near it to relieve suction. The inspiration for the cause cup came from thinking about how I currently use water bottles and from watching other people as well. I noticed that if a water bottle was hard to clean the use of it went down. This was especially true of ones with straws, because leftover particles get stuck and never get cleaned. Also, when having to hand wash bottles it is difficult to get all the cracks. This is why this design has detachable parts to ease the washing process, whether by hand or in the dishwasher.
