Created a mounting system to replace the gas cap lock with a 1" quick latch. Printed out of asa. No supports needed. Print on very fine settings. This was specifically designed for 1/4-20 threads as that is the threads on the pin from the quick latch i bought.
Theres 2 versions of the file. Loose has offsets designed into the 1/4-20 threads and a normal one if you've calibrated your printer for offsets already.
Will try to upload a video instructions : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVuTdWqgso8
but basically this is the quick latch i purchased https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BWP58WFT?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_6&th=1
Remove the spring and spacers from the latch pin
cut the pin length down to about 31-32mm
Run a 1/4-20 tap through the parts. If you dont have a tap, any tripod screw will work too. If you have none of those you can use the pin by grippering the shaft between the ball head and threads with pliers. You just risk scratching it and marring it. Doesnt affe
