I needed a lampshade in the utility room, especially because we have a baby changing table and I didn't like the baby staring right into a light bulb while they're getting changed.
This consists of three parts: the shade itself, a ring that hangs around the light bulb, and a ring that latches the shade to the ring around the bulb. This could've been made as one part, but I designed the attachment ring first, then the shade, then figured that leaving them as detachable pieces might be useful for someone interested in remixing this.
The key to making this a good lamp shade is that the shade is printed in vase mode, or "spiralize outer contour" mode in Cura. These means that the shade is just a single nozzle-width thick. I used a 0.4 mm nozzle. It's because it is printed in vase mode that it has to be pointy on top, as vase mode precludes the use of support. I printed it with a flat bottom, but changed it afterwards to make it look better. If you'd like a flat bottom like mine
