I needed a way to mount a Logitech Mevo camera to a drop ceiling but not permanently.
This mount will work for any camera / webcam that uses a standard 1/4-20 UNC thread.
For both ends of the ball socket I used a 1/4 20 UND threaded insert
Similar to these but miner were an older style:

For the camera mount I used a cone point screw:
https://www.amazon.com/LUORNG-Stainless-Hexagon-Socket-Headless/dp/B0BC1BSFTQ/
For the swivel joint on the X shaped part I had a bushing similar to this:
https://www.amazon.com/12pcs-Brass-Press-Fit-Bushings-Ferrules/dp/B003VSJW66/
Final 1/4 20 bolt through the bushing to hold it all together.
When hand tightened its very solid and does not move.
I tested this with my DSLR and travel projector as well. Its a tight fit but still works. Could be adapted to a much larger size if needed to hold an array of things.
Included the Fusion 360 CAD file to help m
