Wanted to see if it was possible to create a chain with a 3d printer that did not have to an open link to connect more links. Turned out pretty good! Could be customized to make it longer with another link perpendicular to one of the end pieces. Someone told me, "You know you can just buy a plastic chain right?" Where's the fun in that!

Be sure when loading into a slicer software to rotate the file 45 degrees so the links next to each other are touching the print bed and it can be printed without support. When looking at the side of the chain it should look like an "X". Works best if the chain is printed solid.

Also, both chains are somewhat difficult to print. I ended up having to turn the bed heat up high so it did not pull the material off. Might print better with a higher quality printer, but that was one issue I ran into.
