I was watching a tutorial video on YouTube and it ended with “if you want to make your own flexi models, just go into blender, add my flexi cutter as a negative object, and use the boolean feature”. However, getting the “flexi cutter” required buying a 60 dollar online course. I thought that was silly so I made my own approximation. Note that this is not a printable object unless you want a really boring rectangle. How you use it depends on the software you're using but I'm still doing most of my work in TinkerCad, so here's a guide for that:1. Import the STL into Tinkercad.2. Select it and turn it into a “Hole”.3. Import the STL you want to make flexible.4. Scale the cutter to fit (be careful not to make it too thin or your piece won't be able to move)5. Place the cutter where you want a joint.6. Select both items and hit “Ctrl+G”.7. Repeat until you have as many joints as you'd like.8. Export the STL, load it in your slicer of choice, and print away.
