Cheesecake Vive Strap Mount

This is a mounting plate I designed for mounting Cheesecake Slime full body VR trackers to Vive-style straps. They use the same geometry as the normal slide-in strap mounts, but are modified to accept a threaded insert.

A threaded insert will need to be installed for mounting to a Vive strap. I used a 1/4-20 insert with an outer diameter of 8mm and a height of 6mm (Amazon link for the inserts I used is below). It may be necessary to drill and add a slight chamfer to accomodate the inserts depending on the results your printer produces. The inserts can be pressed in slightly deeper to adjust how they are oriented when tightened, if desired. If you are using different inserts, you may need to modify the hole size in the model to accomodate the inserts you are using.
