Chess Board

I designed this chess board in four puzzle pieces so that it can be made larger than the print area I had available.

The board consists of 2 of each of the board parts. It is symmetric on the diagonal.

The squares are raised above the base 0.6mm so that the filament can be changed to achieve a dual color print without a dual extruder. I used colorprint with a change programmed at 2.2mm. This print will work well with 0.2mm layer height.

Before scaling, the board measures 8" x 8". I scaled each piece in only the x and y directions by 150% to achieve the proper size. Fitment of the puzzle pieces is good at this scale.
