ChessHouse included a "How to play chess" booklet for free with the purchase, which is what the slot in the back is for. The model is big enough to require you to remove the 'safe zone' from your Ender 3 in Cura so you can print the model's full size. To remove the 'safe zone' in Cura for your Ender 3 (or other printer with similar or smaller bed size), follow the instructions in this video.
