Child Lock Magnetic Key

This is a magnetic key for child locks. It's designed as a single piece, with space for 2 ceramic disc magnets (1" diameter x.156" thick, each). I used Magnet Source brand magnets from Home Depot.

For Custom Magnet Sizes
Use "Key_3_for_custom_magnet_sizes.STL" if you would like to use a different magnet size. This is a solid STL and you will need to add an appropriately sized, "negative part" in your slicer to create the void for your magnet.
-Position the negative part to leave a few layers of filament beneath it, maybe 0.8-1.0 mm.
-Leave some clearance for the magnet height and diameter. I suggest 0.1-0.2mm clearance, but you may want to test the fit before you commit to printing.

Print Tips
-Do not use support material
-Pause your print in the G-Code at the appropriate layer to drop in the magnet(s).
-Before printing, mark the magnet face using a sharpie with the correct orientation to open your lock.
