this is a 50x15 radial fan duct for the E3D Chimera hotend. it is designed to be mounted straight to the chimera heatsink between the heatsink and the cooling fan. the ducts were tested with solidworks flow simulations to ensure even splitting of air between the two ducts.
this file contains three variations:
fan duct direct no probe: this fan duct is just a split fan duct with one duct reaching to each side of the chimera pointing directly to the nozzles.
fan duct with 12mm probe mount: this fan duct is direct to the nozzles and features a mount for 12mm induction probes set to 50mm off to the right of the right nozzle.
fan duct with probe clearance: only use this model if you have an induction probe set to the right of the hotend. it allows people with already mounted probes to their extruder carriage. the simplicity of the upgrade comes at a cost of slightly less direct cooling from the right duct.
