Hi there, this is my first upload to Thingiverse... how exciting!
Basically, I couldn't find a chlorine dispenser that was as good as one that finally fell apart on me, so I made this one by borrowing from the design of my now defunct dispenser. I've designed it so that it will print without supports and I recommend reducing infill to 10% or less to improve floatation and save on filament. How far below 10% you can go will depend on how good your printer is at bridging so that it can lay down the last few layers. I have printed this only once at 10%.
All that remains now is to see how well PLA stands up to intense solar radiation and constant exposure to chlorine and water :)
UPDATE: It’s 2 years later and the pictured dispenser is finally no more. It failed at the base where there are slots for the chlorine and water to interact. So, 2 summers is how long it lasted. I will try to address this weak point in the next iteration.
