Chopstick Making Jig

Simple jig to carve chopsticks out of wood. Takes up to 1/2" square wood blanks.
_Required Tools_
- Small saw
- Plane
- Ziploc bag
_Materials_
- Min. 1/4" square wood stock
- Finishing oil (e.g. Tung, Mineral, or Walnut Oil)
- Sandpaper (optional)
_Steps_
1. Cut wood to length. 8.25-10.5" or 21-27cm.
2. Plane to 1/4" square.
3. Move to second slot, plane halfway to even, flip, and then plane till even. Repeat for other pair of sides.
4. Plane of corner edges in third slot to preference.
4a. Sand (optional).
5. Soak in finishing oil. Once saturated, wipe down and let dry.
