Simple 3W Power LED holder to light Christmas light tree decoration. Cut out a Tree shape from searching Tree Silhouette. Increased size using https://rasterbator.net Printed, cutout and traced onto 3mm MDF. Cutout, painted then stapled cheap plastic document folder to backside. Increase colour depth if required by adding coloured cellophane in the folder. Bolted on the LED holder using 3mm bolt and nut and some bent scrap metal to fit under roof tiles. Hot glued some solar lights around outside (photos with solar lights on/off). I drove the 3W LED's with 12V and two 560 Ohmm 1/4W resistors connected in parallel and they press fit the 3D printed bit. This drives the LED far less than they are capable of. If you need brighter reduce the resistance but increase the wattage of the resistor. You can calculate the power using ohms law. There are lots of websites showing you how if you need help.
