I wanted to print a "stringy" Christmas tree, like the trendy ones you see around these days. I couldn’t find a design I really liked until I came across one made by Jaw Sawn. However, there were no pictures of the print or a print profile. Before trying it out, I adjusted the model a bit, mostly enlarging the trunk to improve stability. Then, I experimented with different settings until I was satisfied with the results. If you want to tweak the parameters yourself, keep this in mind: slow perimeter speeds and high fan settings will give you straighter branches, while fast perimeter speeds and low fan settings will create curly branches (like picture 1).Also, refer to picture number 2 to see how the branches will look. After printing, you can shape the branches at the bottom to your liking, either by bending them with your fingers or by gently heating them with a lighter or blowtorch. One more thing!
