I want a Christmas tree that I can light up. This is how I constructed parts that can be illuminated indirectly with transparent parts or with 5 mm LED through holes.
The tree in the pictures shows a direct light downwards in the upper 3 parts, the lower part is transparent with internal LEDs.
I used RGB rainbow LEDs with resistors on the 5V USB cable.
Drill out the holes in the green parts with a 2mm drill so that the filament pieces can be used for centering. In the counterparts I melted the filament pieces with a soldering iron.
Hint:
ONLY the top needs support - but only in the outer area!!! use support blocker
The part green4 has a plate for better adhesion, which must be removed after printing.
