Classic Yo Yo with Snap-Lock

I wanted to design my own Yo Yo that does not require any additional hardware, except the strings which are actually a good investment. (10 pcs for ~ 1€ on AliExpress). The main challenge was the design of the axle to make it both sturdy and frictionless to allow the so called sleeping of the Yo Yo.I use a 5mm axle design that allows a good connection between both Yo Yo halfs and a good amount of sleeping time. Both halves interconnect via the axle that snap locks into each half by turning the halves in opposite direction. You can find 5 different designs on own plates and the 3 axles. The designs consist of:standard plainsimple spiralcomplex spiralbenham pattern 1benham pattern 2 Construction 1. Untwist the end of the string and create a small hole that wraps over your finger. 2. Wrap it around the axle as in the picture below. 3. Insert the axle into the left half and then attach the second half.Then twist both halves in opposite direction with momentum until you feel two “clicks”. (
