Rope Cleat - for one-handed 'tie-off-the-rope' action - like when you're pulling your bicycle or 'heavy thing' to the ceiling and need a hand on the 'thing' at the same moment you need to latch the rope.
I mount this on the side of the 2x8 joist under the peak of the garage roof - in the middle, where the pulley is - and too high to reach to tie off a rope.

The little bump-with-a-hole in the cam part is for attaching a rubber band or spring - it helps the cam grab the rope.

There are only three things to add - two screws and a rubber ban or spring

I have not tried it, but I think just scaling it down should make it work better for smaller rope.
