Clothes Button - Steampunk Gear

Edit: 3/12/17: tried printing it. As anyone with actual experience printing these things could have told you, the stem sheared off because the layer strength is only so strong - basically, all the weight was being held by a tiny layer outside the main body.

So I've revised the design. Less elegant but more functional, it's basically got a "washer" layer under the thread and "decorative" layers above. That should be bloody hard to break...

Note though - it's designed in inches, so it'll need to be scaled up to print.

Rough replica of a button I got for a costume some time ago. Print a bunch and make your stuff look cool; I'm working on filleting the edges, but it's proving bloody difficult. The button hole's the only one you Really Need smoothed (so it doesn't cut through the thread), the rest is probably smooth enough.
