Coaster Mold Coaster

My goal with this model was to create a coaster that can doubles as an educational tool for injection molding. For anyone in the field of injection molding, it makes for a fun desktop toy. For the spring, I used a cut down spring from a G2 ink pen placed around the center ejector. I originally designed the model to use 4 cut down springs on each return pin, but found that to offer too much resistance. The spring can also be omitted entirely. Not all injection molding tooling uses springs to return the ejectors. These molds rely on the return pins to return the ejectors during mold close. This functionality can also be applied to this model if you do not wish to use a spring.
