Back storyApparently in 1950 Colgate had a competition to find ways to sell more toothpaste. Someone said they could increase the sales of toothpaste by 40% for $100,000. Colgate agreed, and the the idea was to increase the nozzle size from 5mm to 6mm. Since the 1950&#39;s the size of the nozzle has increase to 7mm in the 1980s and then now to 8mm in the 2000&#39;s.
