Collapsible / Spring-Loaded Hanger

Collapsible & Spring-Loaded Hanger: This hanger was designed to collapse and automatically retract back into its original position when not in use. It was designed to make storing and fetching clothes much easier than your typical hanger. No need to pull the hanger off the clothes rod, just grab your shirt and go. The hanger was built for light-weight clothes (T-shirts, long sleeves, polo, and dress shirts) as sweaters and jackets are too heavy for the spring-loaded arms. The design uses two mechanisms to work properly: Spring-loaded arms - These use a torsion spring and a hex nut to retract the arms back to place Bump Stop - Small bump stops help keep the arms upright while carrying a load (clothes) Key Features: Collapsible for quick access to clothes Spring-loaded arms return to its original position Same angle and length of a typical hanger Light but durable design Designed for easy printing with NO supports This was a fun build focused on simple mechanics and usability.
