In printing the light saber at 50% (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3668138/files) I found it looked like a wand so I created a couple wand housings for it.
I print the light saber blades individually at 50% scale, .5 mm wall thickness and they work fairly well with a little filing. Also they are individual files for each blade section and I recommend a brim. I printed mine in vase mode, in Cura this is called "Spiralise Outer Contour". I've found that PETG works best for these as it's less brittle (PLA does work too though). Print the walls with your "Line Width" setting at .5mm (I do this just fine even on a .4mm nozzle) and you'll have to work them a little with sandpaper or a file near where the brim connects to get them to slide right.
The "Simple" pieces go together to make a simpler looking wand.
If you want a single color handle you can print a closed cap and then the body with the integrated open cap. Otherwise you can print the caps and body separately.
