With a rear-mounted fan duct blocking the vertical space behind the hotend, the only options for a "typical" servo mount either blocks the extruder mounting bolt or puts the servo far forward with a long probe arm.
clouhg42's Hexagon fan shroud frees up a lot of internal space, enough that I can mount the servo body internally and low with a shorter probe arm off the side while keeping the extruder screw accessible. The only disadvantage is that the Y offset is approx 45mm.
The servo flange is recessed so that the M3 side screw also holds it in place. Note that I had to cut out a section from the duct to fit the servo in. Rather than dismantle everything I just carved it out with a hot knife, but that may not be the best approach.
