Complete Z-axis mechanism for a laser with height adjustment. The mechanism is adapted to a 2040 aluminum extrusion. I used an 8 mm trapezoidal screw and 8 mm diameter aluminum tubes as guides. The M4 holes in the gantry plate for mounting the frame are threaded. The M3 side holes in the sliding block are also threaded. However, I think a better solution would be to use appropriate thermal nuts. The holes in the head holder must be adapted to your laser. I use a Laser Tree with 20 W optical power and a weight of 620 g. Printing parameters: - PETG material – 131g  - 0.4 mm nozzle - number of walls – 4 - infill – 30% - layer height– 0.24mm Required materials: - 8 mm trapezoidal screw, length 135mm – 1 pc - 8/6 mm aluminum tube length 114 mm – 2 pcs - M4 x 12 mm screw – 4 pcs  - M3 x 12mm screw – 4 pcs. - Thin screw for securing the trapezoidal nut to the block – 4 pcs. Assembly sequence: 1. Screw the frame (2) to the gantry plate (1) with M4 x 12 screws. 2. Attach the wheels (3). 3. Screw the trapezoidal nut (5) to the bottom of the sliding block (4). 4. Insert the trapezoidal screw (8) through the hole in the frame (2) and screw it into the block (4). 5. Place the washer (7) and knob (6) on top. 6. Place the lock collar (11) on the bottom. 7. Insert the guides (9) and secure with the caps (10). 8. Screw the laser to the head holder (12) and secure the entire assembly to the block (4) with M3 x 12 screws.
