I am always looking for more new and exciting ways to bring technology into the classroom, so having a 3D printer in my room has presented my jewelry class with a creative opportunity. This lesson is created for an advanced high school art class whose focus is on jewelry and wearable art. During the course of this lesson, the students will learn about the components and benefits of a 3D printer, the basics of 3D modeling, how to successfully 3D print a unique wearable object, and a variety of art and 3D print related terms.

This is still a work in progress. I will post more when a larger number of students have successfully designed and printed their piece.
