Cooktop Knob, Large

Here is a knob for a industrial kitchen gas cooktop. The knob has a relatively large diameter of 70mm. It's designed to press fit onto a standard gas fitting 8mm shaft with a (6.25mm) flat side. The top of the knob has an indentation to assist with knob positioning.

My design consists of two parts, the outer knob and the shaft fitting. The 2 parts press fit together, though the addition of a suitable glue will ensure the parts do not separate.

Due to high temperatures around a cooktop, eg. pots and pans, I went with a Nylon filament, which has a high working temperature of around 200C.

My print is made in Polymaker Polymide Nylon 1.75mm black filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 25% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer.
