Either thread the tool through the tunnel with the eyelet first and hold on to the bubble at the end until the hole tool sticks out on both ends, thread the end of the cord through the eyelet and pull it through the tunnel OR thread the cord through the eyelet and insert the tool bubble-end first through the tunnel and shove it through all the way. The stick is flexible enough and the bubble-end ensures that it does not get stuck so easily inside the tunnel.
