Cosine Table

This was a table for a client. We are going to use a DShape 3D printer to make the legs out of stone (dshape.ca) The legs were a simple design I made in OpenSCAD. I simply developed a script to define the general shape, then ported the design to Meshlab where I took random point samples and made the 'holes' you see there around them. I utilized a well-known technique called Voronoi Filtering to produce the table's organic look. However, this design was deemed almost unprintable - so we're trying something else.
