I tried the cup holder here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2364780
Unfortunately it was too large to print on my printer when scaled for the size of cups I use. During this holiday break I needed a project to help me learn how to use Fusion 360, so I made this 2-piece design.
The upper ring is designed with a 5 degree taper which I found matches many typical drinking cups and glasses. You can adjust the scale to print the size that fits your cups, bottles, cans or coozies.
For strength I suggest 3-4 perimeters and heavy infill for the ring, and 2-3 perimeters and heavy infill for the stand. If the stand doesn't snap into the ring, simply increase or decrease the scale to fit. On my printer the stand had to be printed at 98.5% to get a snug fit. I weld all my 3D printed parts using IPS Weld-On #16 Acrylic solvent cement.
I used glow-in-the-dark PLA from Atomic for the ring shown in the pictures.
