For the past 2 months, to assist with the need for PPE equipment for front-line healthcare workers, I have been running 6 printers around the clock printing Face Shield frames and Ear-Saver clips. I have also been working with my local High School to help them keep their fleet of 40 Ender-3 printers repaired, tuned and running properly. To properly recognize all these printers for their tireless work, I came up with this printer medallion, after seeing similar ones on the web, to recognize the printers for their tireless fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The part measures 48mm x 36mm and is 3mm thick. After printing, it can be attached to your printer with some double sided tape or epoxy glue. I printed mine in gold silk PLA for a nice shiny look to the part.
I printed these parts on my old tried and true, heavily modded, ANET A6 printer with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layers. In order to get the part to print properly I had to cheat the settings in Simplify3D and put in a
