Since original cables of CR-10 were a bit short and I had some hassle when installing the printer in my wooden box I decided to change the cabling of the printer. Now it's a clean one cable solution and cables on printer are neatly installed.
Things you need:
- 2x DB37 connectors (male & female)
- Some cable
- Some screws (spare screws from CR-10 will do the trick)
- Printed connector box
- 2x printed DB37 housing
- Some patience when soldering all the wires :)
I've used an old printer cable for all the steppers and sensors. But for Bed an nozzle you have to use some thicker cables (I've used 1.5mm silicone cable). Also you have to pay attention that the sensors (bed and nozzle) ground is separated - else you will get false results when the fan blows. Tip: use some thicker cables for the ground pins as well (0.75mm).
I've attached a pin-out diagram of my printer as an idea on how to probably do it.
Please use this mod at your own risk. I don't take any responsibiliti
