Simple yet effective auto leveling probe for Creality printers.
Probe Uses an endstop with the metal lever removed. You must have already removed the stock hotend/part cooling case as this mount the left hole. Works with OEM hotend and E3Dv6. Also fits CR-10 High Clearance fang. should fit others.
To probe simply push the probe all the way down and probe/home
before starting a print but after homing z axis push the probe up away from bed. You do not need to have your nozzle heated while probing, it will not effect anything.
I "auto-level" a few times a week with
G28;
G29;
M500;
In your start gcode place a M420 S1; After the G28 and it will use the stored auto-leveling data.
IMPORTANT: If you forget to lower the probe before homing Z the printer will run the nozzle into the bed until you turn it off.
Parts required
M3x20mm x1
M3x5mm x3 (old fan shroud screws + endstop screws)
M3 Nylock x1
Endstop x1 (I used my Z endstop)
Wire to extend Z endstop connector
