A "quick and dirty" mount for the Orbiter extruder on a Creality CR-6 SE.
No modification or disassembly required! Just hook the part over the X-carriage V-roller axle and snap the other side down. The Orbiter v1.5 will mount to the holes provided using two M3 nuts pressed into the slots in the sides.
I took some design cues from a cable support but designed the model from scratch.
Preliminary testing indicates it's sturdy.
It's at an angle for a reason. When mounted perpendicular, the default mounting hole locations on the orbiter interfere with the PCB cord plug. Hence I rotated it 45 degrees to make it fit. This also helps with weight distribution as the stepper motor is over the carriage. However the X travel is limited slightly (~227mm) by the extruder stepper motor running into the right Z pillar, so keep that in mind.
A more elegant solution would involve remounting the PCB and/or remixing the Orbiter extruder housing to move the mounting holes. But that would require
